A selection of records from a pure, adventurous and creative spirit: Mike Cooper. Turning 80 years old this year, Cooper reinvented himself as an experimental shape-shifter updating ambient and exotica after a somewhat successful career as a UK folk-blues artist during the 1960s.
Cooper employs lap steel, electronics, prepared guitar, sampler, and live environmental field recordings.
Cooper, now living in Italy, travels the world and many times to the pacific for live performances all performed solo. Great vocalist too.
