We bought our first batch of 250 butterfly koi fish, then had a disaster and ordered 250 more. Koi fry spawned this year from Showa, Chagoi Butterfly Koi, Hariwake, Platinum Ogon, Kujaku Butterfly, Kohaku, Matsuba, Shiro Muji, Ochiba, AKA Muji, Doitsu and Gin Rin koi from Blackwater Creek Koi Farms Inc. We show how to introduce koi fish into a koi pond by giving a salt bath first, showing exactly what salt is safe to use for treating parasites on koi fish. Our initial koi pack was mainly butterfly longfin koi, while the second shipment had a larger variety and color as well as size. We plan to show the koi pond build shortly that these fish will be introduced to once they are finished with their quarantine period in the salt bath. We also discuss koi food and how much we feed them per day. How to breed and sell koi can begin with koi ordered online and delivered to your door. These will be ready for a fish sale next year with the intention of covering our cost and stocking our koi pond at the same time.
