The 2nd generation of TINHiFi C3 😼 - Unboxing & Full written review

TINHiFi sent me this review unit and still everything here is my honest opinion based on my personal preferences and testings. (I'm not an audiophile, but heading towards.)

My requirements in an audio product

To summarise, I'm a bass head and a treble sensitive person who test deep in technicalities and overall value.

So, Sound signature wise :

I need satisfying and quality sub bass rumble. Needs extension and depth. But shouldn't be too much even though I'm a bass head.

Need both punchy and tight hard hitting kicks with nice texture. Shouldn't be too much. Needs to be well balanced in shouldn't bleed into the mids.

Overall low end shouldn't be over powering and need to be well separated from the rest of the FR.

Hate when the mid range sounds thin. Prefer the weighty male vocals and look for the overall heft in mid range. Shouldn't be too much though.

Really like forward and clean mid range. Hates when the mid range is in background or recessed.

Hates shoutyness, harshness and sharpness. My ears are pretty sensitive to those. Also easily noticeable when there is that 8k peak.

8k peak adds that sharpness and energy. But it hurts my ears. Likes a bit of spicyness but needs to be well controlled.

Overall not a fan of big peaks and dips.

Treble needs to be detailed. Hates the sparkle and shrill sound at the higher frequencies. My ears are sensitive to those.

Needs extended treble which gives that space and wideness but there shouldn't be big peaks.

Timbre wise, I always look for the natural and correct timbre. I like a bit of colouring as it adds some taste, but not too much.

At the moment, I have only tried budget BAs and planars. So far, not a fan of that BA and planar timbre. Prefer the DD timbre but that too change from the material of the DD.
