Yesterday, I managed to travel on the GWR IET AT300 for the first time since March 2019. I was onboard 800313 which was operating the 1002 to Bristol Temple Meads headcode 1C09 calling at Reading, Didcot Parkway, Swindon, Chippenham, Bath Spa and Bristol Temple Meads. When I upgraded to first class with Seatfrog, I was allocated Seat 58 in Coach K which is a shit seat (rear facing aisle) when solo seats are preferable when travelling in first class on your own. First class is slightly better than standard because there's usually more seats available in first.
Can you use oyster or contactless? You can't use oyster cards, however you can use contactless pay as you go but only between Paddington and Reading.
