For this particular job we were contacted by the investment company who flipped this house. The buyer was aware that there were bees when he bought it but he did not stick around to see what was in the wall. The investment company rep was the only one interested. He got to take home about a gallon worth of comb honey. I kept the rest which was around forty pounds.
I was unable to find the queen during the removal. She got sucked up in the vac and did make it safely to her new home in my back yard.
