India marks its 77th Republic Day with a powerful display of military strength, unity and jointness as the Indian Air Force helicopters carrying Operation Sindoor take centre stage during the grand parade at Kartavya Path, New Delhi.
Presided over by President Droupadi Murmu, the celebrations witnessed a spectacular tri-services tableau depicting ‘Operation Sindoor: Victory Through Jointness’, highlighting seamless coordination between the Army, Navy and Air Force. The parade opened with the unfurling of the national flag, followed by the national anthem and a 21-gun salute fired using indigenously developed 105 mm light field guns by the 1721 Ceremonial Battery of the 172 Field Regiment.
Adding global significance to the event, Antonio Costa, President of the European Council, and Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, attended as Chief Guests, underscoring India’s rising international stature.
