This is one of the rarest varieties we grow, It is ripe in early August and is beautiful to eat straight from the tree but goes soft in a couple of days. As the video shows, it tends to fall as soon as it is ripe or slightly before. Not recommended for a one tree orchard, but if you are a friendly person who likes to have children round to play in the garden this could be a great choice a one of half a dozen trees in a small orchard. No other apple that is ripe as early as this, few are, tastes anywhere near as good.
