It's been 5 months since the "Nine O Nine" crashed at Bradley Intl Airport in Connecticut. Regardless of the cause, we remember the hard-working folks who brought a rare Warbird like that to the public so we can all enjoy it's history.
This accident was especially close to me, as I got to be a passenger on the "Aluminum Overcast" B-17 in Oct 2018. A sibling to "Nine O Nine," this incredible aircraft owned by the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) is something you've just got to see.
If you love aviation, young or old, we all should think about those that were lost in October, 2019 in that accident and never take for granted the amazing effort it takes to keep these pieces of history around.
