旅の文筆家・山下マヌーさんが三重の街を気ままに歩きながら、気になるスポットや人、モノを見つけて“勝手に三重遺産”として認定していくシリーズ企画、「山下マヌーのまいさんぽ」伊賀編 vol.2（通算＃6）。今回は忍者の里、伊賀編。定番となる伊賀の観光名所から新スポット、隠れ穴場スポットまで、マヌー氏が訪ね歩き、マヌー流で伊賀のええやん！を発見し紹介します。

今回は伊賀上野高等学校の歴史ある洋風建築の明治校舎と、100年以上の歴史ある新聞部を突撃取材！2025年秋に開催された高校新聞コンクールで三重県11校中最優秀賞を受賞した新聞部。雑誌記者、編集者としての経歴を持つ山下マヌー氏が、現役高校生に取材について、記事を書くことについて等のレクチャーも行います。

山下マヌー プロフィール

Travel writer Manou Yamashita visits Iga City in Mie Prefecture, wandering at leisure to discover interesting spots, people, and items, which he then whimsically designates as “Mie Heritage” in this series, "Manou Yamashita's My Sanpo" Iga Edition vol.2 (Total #6). In this episode, Manou explores the ninja village of Iga, from classic tourist spots to new and hidden gems, uncovering and showcasing the charms of Iga through his unique perspective.

In this segment, he visits the historically significant Western-style "Meiji School Building" and the more than 100-year-old newspaper club at Mie Prefectural Ueno High School. The newspaper club, which won the top prize among 11 schools in Mie Prefecture at the High School Newspaper Contest held in Autumn 2025, also receives attention. With a background as a magazine journalist and editor, Manou offers lectures to current high school students on conducting interviews and writing articles.

Manou Yamashita Profile
A travel writer who has visited over 400 countries worldwide. After working as a magazine editor, he became a travel columnist and writer. With over 65 travel-related books and more than 400 overseas trips, he continues to share the joy of travel from unique perspectives in Hawaii, Europe, America, Asia, and across Japan.
