Hey Guys and Gals.
I installed the Yoshimura AT2 full exhaust on my MT-09 over the weekend. Not too bad a job! Disconnecting the O2 sensor was perhaps the easiest disconnection. The radiator bracket bolt....well, just take your time and be patient. Get yourself a long flex ratcheting box end wrench and you'll safe yourself some aggravation. The header nuts weren't too bad. Just be careful when it comes time to torque them down. The right-side bracket nut was a pain to loosen. If you have a breaker bar and a good, sturdy socket wrench you're okay but a second pair of hands would be ideal. Keep the gaskets from the original exhaust. Put a dab of all-purpose grease on 2 sides and they should stay in place against the manifold when installing the new headers. The new brackets were easy to install. The nut and bolt for each new bracket didn't mention any torque value so, be safe, and use some medium Loctite as a precaution. When re-routing the O2 wiring to the other side of the bike, be extra careful. I just had enough room to re-connect to the coupler. I used latex gloves when handling the new exhaust but still wiped down the system with alcohol before firing it up.
Also, I used a jack to hold the stock exhaust while removing the various nuts and bolts holding it in place. Made life a bit easier.
Having the right tools for the right job made this install go well. I think the absolute worst procedure was re-routing the O2 wiring.
Let me know what you think. If you have any questions feel free to ask.
As always, thanks for watching, stay safe, stay upright and I'll talk at you later.
