Welcome to the sequel of my last video. In the last video I obtained my SSI Advanced Adventurer licence, in return we had to do a couple of hours of community service. For my community service I participated in a data collection dive (and snorkelling) for the non-profit Stichting Anemoon (https://www.anemoon.org/ ). As preparation, we had to pick a few species to count. We decided to look for nudibranches, hermit crabs, and anemones. Though we didn't find any nudibranches, we did see quite a few anemones and a couple of hermit crabs. The data is used for research, which increases the visibility of our seas and hopefully give them the protection they need.
I was having such an amazing time diving in The Netherlands. I was positively surprised with how colourful it was. An incredible dive, and can't wait to dive here more often. It really goes to show that you don't need to go to tropical places just to enjoy the beautiful underwater world. It has really made me want to get my dry suit licence to explore the waters further north.
Thanks again for watching, and I hope to see you again for my next one.
