Dr Shelley McMain is a Clinical Psychologist and Head of the Borderline Personality Clinic at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health - Canada's largest mental health and addiction teaching hospital.
She is studying psychotherapy methods and outcomes for borderline personality disorder (BPD), concurrent BPD and substance use disorders (SIDs) and self-harm and suicidal behaviour.
Recent projects have examined the effectiveness of Dialectical Behaviour Therapy for the treatment of concurrent BPD and SIDs.
