The Karate Kid (2010), directed by Harald Zwart, stars Jaden Smith as Dre Parker and Jackie Chan as Mr. Han. The film follows 12-year-old Dre, who moves to Beijing with his mother, where he faces bullying from a kung fu champion, Cheng (Zhenwei Wang). Seeking guidance, Dre befriends Mr. Han, a maintenance man who secretly teaches him kung fu. Through Mr. Han’s mentorship, Dre gains confidence and learns valuable life lessons, ultimately facing Cheng in a kung fu tournament.

The film was well-received and was nominated for various awards. Jaden Smith won the Best Leading Young Actor in a Feature Film at the 32nd Young Artist Awards. Jackie Chan won the Favorite Action Star award at the People Choice Awards (2011) and the Favorite Buttkicker award at the Kids' Choice Awards (2011). Additionally, the movie was a commercial success, grossing over $350 million worldwide.
