Protesters in Nepal clash with police, leaving 11 dead, as government blocks social media

Police in Kathmandu opened fire Monday on protesters demonstrating against a government ban on social media, killing at least 11 and wounding dozens more.

Authorities said that the companies failed to register and submit to government oversight.
