Makeshift Heart is the result of processing new and old trauma. Depicting a journey through a colorful, surreal, dystopian city, the video brings life to the patchwork heart from my nightmare.

The video was filmed before a terrible accident profoundly changed our lives in September 2022. Although I'm grateful we survived, recovery has been, and still is, full of challenges. Our physical and emotional injuries continue to impact us.

The song is a catharsis for my deep-seated resentment; that throughout life, traumas must be continuously processed. Personally, the pain of old wounds reopening has been incredibly difficult to manage.

Looking back, many of the songs on our album "Surfaces" now hold a deeper meaning.

Luckily, while healing, we were able to complete our second album titled, "New Pain." We're extremely proud of this new body of work because despite everything, our love for expressing ourselves through music has persevered. Once we're well enough to give our best at live shows, we'll be able to start releasing those tracks.
