1968 Lenham Le Mans

This is my 1968 Lenham Le Mans. Based on an MG Midget, the Lenham Motor Company of Lenham, Kent, UK, offered hard tops and re-bodies for Midgets. If you didn't want a soft top or wind noise, or you wanted a more aerodynamic body for racing, you could take your car to them for reworking.
My car has seen quite a lot of action comprising a variety of motorsports in Scotland including hill climbs and sprints. My uncle bought the car in 2018 as his 70th car in 70 years of motoring and following a full strip-down and repaint in Fiat Abarth Blu, it came to me to finish in 2022. I don't race so I wanted to build the car with a modicum of comfort so it now has a full interior with a little sound deadening. I'm 6' tall so could spare no leg room and as a result I have fitted wafer thin aluminium race seats, made in UK. I had the engine rebuilt; it was already 1310cc but I had the cylinder head reworked significantly. I put smaller chokes in the carburettor to make it more useable for the road. The car has new glass throughout including custom made opening rear windows. They are usually sealed shut.
This is not my first attempt at building a car; I do it for a living, but it is my first attempt at editing a video. I filmed it on GoPro 5 and edited it with Movavi. I will turn on video stabilisation next time I hope you enjoy the footage.
