There’s a Roman amphitheatre right inside London’s financial district! On this narrated London walking tour through the Square Mile, discover hidden spots around the City of London, including the Guildhall Art Gallery containing a Roman Amphitheatre alongside Victorian art work, the City Police Museum, St Paul’s Cathedral, the Bow Bells and Bow Lane, and even a bust of Shakespeare in a church garden😊 As the City workers around Cheapside reach lunch time, the streets named after their past wares such as Goldsmith Street, Bread Street and Poultry fill up with shoppers and food seekers. One New Change has everything from donuts to jewellery while the queue stretches along half of Watling Street for customers of Porterford Butchers in search of hot fare. Enjoy the London sunshine with me and my new Roman Centurion rubber duck (all will be revealed)!
Walk duration: approximately 40 minutes to one hour, depending on whether you go into the Police Museum/Guildhall Art Gallery and how long you spend there.
