Jax State Interprofessional Education (IPE) Simulation

Jacksonville State University hosted a large-scale emergency training exercise on April 11.

Two years in the making, the Interprofessional Education Event brought together students from various departments and programs throughout campus to respond to a pre-planned emergency simulation designed by faculty and staff. Students in nursing, social work, emergency management, and athletic training responded to a scenario that used the acting talents of the university’s theatre students.

The University Police Department, Jacksonville Police Department, Jacksonville Fire Department, and Calhoun County Emergency Management Agency were on site.
