Lure Painting | Deadly lure design!

This lure painting was a request and one I never really tried before. Copperheads have an awesome pattern. The is actually fairly simple lure design when you have a plan. It took me a few days to plan though because at first it seemed intimidating. I sketched out the pattern, did measurements before I actually did any painting. Next time I think I may try to create stripe stencils out of card stock or something that won't pull the undercoat off the lure. The Mod Podge didn't provide a protective coating like I thought it would, so I had to do touchup where the tape ripped paint off. Overall, I love the look of this lure and hope to try it again soon.
