Join me & Toby on our Hack’n’Snack(TM). The best things about the end of summer is stubble fields and blackberries!
Toby was feeling a little bit tired today as he has just started putting all of his energy into growing his woolly mammoth winter coat - ever year from September into October he becomes a little bit lethargic and loses some muscle, as some of his protein & energy goes into preparing for winter. It’s just a shame that in a few weeks I’ll be clipping off his hairy efforts, in order to keep him nice & cool and to stop him sweating during exercise!
Despite feeling a little bit sleepy, he still enjoyed his stubble fields canters now the ground is finally soft enough to canter again after an insanely dry summer, and, of course, I let him go blackberry picking in the hedgerows on our way home!
