Here's how I made a mini ironing board! This is great if you have a small sewing space, and just need a small board to press those small pieces of whatever you are working on. They can be customized to any size you need. I've made a bigger one, and found it super useful to just take out when I need it.
// materials used:
wooden board of size that you want
1-2 layers of cotton batting (1/2" bigger than all sides of board)
quilting cotton fabric for outer (3" bigger than all sides of board)
(optional) non-slip pad (1/2" smaller than all sides of board) and tacky glue
// tools used
staple gun with 1/4" staples
