Should we, as humans, be picked when ripe or wait until we are ready?

In nature, many processes are allowed to happen in their own time. Think about birds hatching from eggs. They hatch when they are ready, not when we decide it's time. This natural timing ensures they are fully prepared for the world outside.

In my consultations, we often discuss these philosophies. Some mamas prefer the structured approach of a hospital induction, where labor is initiated at a specific time for medical or personal reasons. Others prefer to wait for labor to begin on its own, trusting that their body and baby will signal when the time is right, much like a bird hatching naturally from its egg.
