Day 4 -- Twist Your Way to Bliss
Things you will need -- Yoga mat and 1 yoga block (if you don't have a block - a pillow, a shoebox, or anything with a few supportive inches will help). If you don't have any of these items, don't fret! This entire practice can be done without, just make modifications as you need, pause the video, skip ahead, and do what you can.
Today we twist! As we approach the latter half of this yoga challenge, we're going to double up on the detoxifying benefits a yoga practice can provide. One of the surest ways to do this is through twisting postures. Not only does twisting open up the spine and all the muscles, connective tissues, and fascia attached to the spine, but it also massages, cleanses, and stimulates the digestive organs similar to the way we wring out a dish rag. A twist a day........
Most common places to use the props for support are:
One block between the ankles to sit on in Hero Pose
One block for the hands in Pyramid Pose/Revolved Pyramid Pose
