Born on the world of Kimmeria, Azrael would quickly rise through the ranks of the Dark Angels from Battle Brother, Deathwing, Company Commander and Supreme Grand Master.

Burdened with the knowledge of the imprisonment of Luther within The Rock, Azrael leads the 1st into a new age with the resurgence of his long dormant Primarch: Lion El'Jonson.
