I have been struggling to track down a Stumbling & Stalling issue with my 1992 FOXBODY Mustang 5.0. When I put the clutch in and come to a stop, every so often my RPM's will drop below my set idle and the car will stumble and stall. I have attempted to try and tune this out of my car but that did not help. I have recently resorted to trying to chase down any sort of vacuum leak that I may have. To diagnose, I have enlisted in the services of my trust smoke machine which introduces smoke to the engine and then you can watch and see where it is leaking out of. I noticed that my EGR vacuum diaphragm had some smoke coming from it. Upon closer inspection (Removal of EGR mechanism), I noticed that my EGR valve was stuck closed. That said, I assume it was stuck closed but open enough to ever so slightly allow a small amount of smoke to pass by and leak out. In this video I show you the various components I have discussed above and how my issues were effecting my car. In the end of all this, my diagnoses of the problem and fix fixed my issue!
