Queen St, in Wolverhampton City Centre, has more listed buildings than any other street in the city. This one street has, at one time or another, been a home to a hospital, an orphanage, a lecture theatre, a library, the local County Court, a high class coffee and tea emporium and a sports shop owned and managed by a former England football player. Queen St was also the home of the Express and Star, one of the biggest selling regional newspapers in Britain and which was one of the most important most important media institutions in the midlands.
