Depression and anxiety are two of the most common emotions we experience as individuals. The National Institute of Mental Health estimates that approximately 7% of all adults in the US will experience depression in their lifetime. The number of adults subjected to anxiety is almost three times that of depression. However, studies show that individuals with lupus have even higher numbers of these emotions. Experiencing depression and /or anxiety on a daily, weekly, or even monthly basis while also dealing with an autoimmune disease such as Lupus can be daunting for any individual. This webinar will focus on recognition of these emotions and the different types of psychological disorders that may be related to depression and anxiety and identifying and knowing when to seek help and choose the best professional assistance that fits your needs.
