On the last day of the Mars concert in 2019, a very emotional Hua Chenyu sat down at the piano to sing "Why Nobody Fights" after a powerful performance of his song about depression, "Oh, How I Want to Love This World." A difficult moment transforms into a glorious chorus with his favorite people.

This is the first of only two songs Hua has written the lyrics for and the only song he's written English lyrics for. These lyrics may be simple, but Hua's heartfelt message can take on a multitude of differing interpretations.

Inspiration for "Why Nobody Fights" came after he attended a soccer match on a trip to Europe in 2014, just months after winning Super Boy, a Chinese singing competition show. What he saw there and what these three words mean to him aren't relevant, according to his thinking on the matter. Hua would rather we gain understanding of his music from our own perspective, defining it through our own lens, rather than having only his thoughts applied to one of his songs. In this way, Hua Chenyu's songs become a greater song, one whose worth is magnified by his fans and their worldviews. We would have to agree with his sentiments that it is much more wonderful this way.
