While Netflix’s political thriller ‘The Diplomat’ is not a romantic comedy, it masterfully walks this same tightrope. It pushes its protagonists, Kate (played here by Kimberley Pember) and Hal (Marco Vespa), to their limits, sometimes beyond, before reeling them back in.
