This is a video showing how to add more ram to the original xbox .I use the drag solder method to get this done .The bios will not boot if all ram chips are not soldered correctly .If your console powers on and off you have a bad conection or short in one or more ram chips .Check over your work and fix any shorts.
Xblast os for testing the ram chips .
Xblast can be flashed to modchip or use the .xbe executable. I used the .xbe file Because my modchip is unsupported for xblast.If you do have a supported modchip(aladin) you can do one chip at a time and test as you go
Tools
1.Soldering iron
2.Flux
3.Solder braid
4.magnifying glass
5.Multimeter to test for shorts
