Harvard astrophysicist Avi Loeb explains why Jan. 22’s rare “full moon phase” alignment was so significant for 3I/ATLAS. During the event, the interstellar object passed between Earth and the Sun, allowing the Hubble Space Telescope to capture new images showing its unusual anti-tail pointed toward Earth.
