During our Kanyakumari-Kashmir in the day 10 of our Ladakh ride we have started from Jammu to Srinagar. The travel was with NH44 Kanyakumari Jammu Srinagar highway. Most of the places the 4 lane shrink into 2 lanes. Very rough and hilly terrain of Himalayas.
We have even crossed the Ban toll plaza, Nandhini Tunnel, India's longest Chennani Nashri Tunnel or the Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee Tunnel in the lower Himalayas. Also explained about the Chenab river and it's flow and the Chenab Rail bridge is the world's highest rail bridge.
Also explained the Roadways of India like Expressways, National Highways, State Highways, District roads, Rural roads & Border roads. The accessibility like Clover leaf or ramps to access the expressways or the Highways
Shortest National highway of India, Longest highway of India also explained in this video. As the journey was entirely in the Jammu & Kashmir Union territory.
Also the Indian Highway naming Nomenclature and the Highway color codes detailed. Then the Centre median and the Divider in the roads also explained
