I've been exploring the potential of the new Elektron Analog Heat plus FX alongside my Digitakt to create some truly unique sounds inspired by the greats of Roots and Dub music, such as Lee Scratch Perry and King Tubby. With the Analog Heat's versatile filter and distortion capabilities, as well as reverb and delay, I've been able to achieve a range of warm and gritty tones that really capture the essence of classic dub production. By pairing it with the precision and sequencing capabilities of the Digitakt, and the modular synth supplied the thunderous bass using the Wiard Oscillator, analog lowpass filter, and lowpass gate.
I've been able to bring these sounds to life in ways that I never thought possible. The result is a sound that is both nostalgic and fresh, with all the character and soul of those classic dub recordings, but with a modern twist that really sets it apart.
