William Nathan "Jingy" Wells was fiddler for Bampton Morris in the late 19th and first half of the 20th Century . In 1925 his fiddle was broken at the neck in an argument over takings and after that the "old side" split into two . It was repaired after the incident albeit in a crude fashion with wood screws nails and wood inserts but is just about playable. Barry Care of Moulton Morris explains the history of this fiddle and it is returned to Mat Green of the Bampton Morris after many years. Includes a short demo play of the fiddle.
