The NEW Era Of LEGO DWARVES!

In the last few years with the release of the LEGO Dungeons and Dragons and LEGO Lord of the Rings sets, LEGO has quietly ushered in the new era of LEGO Dwarfs. Before these sets we only saw a few Dwarves in the LEGO 2007 Castle theme, The CMF line, Lego Hobbit and Gimli in the early LOTR sets. SO what is this new era? and what would I like to see from it moving forward?
