Getting Back To My Novel After A Break

Who else is just getting back to writing after a rocky start to the year? I feel like the first month passed by so quickly, and I just didn’t get back to my writing fast enough. Now that I’m about to move into a new house, I know I need to get myself back into the habit of writing before I wake up in April with nothing new on my story.

🖤How I Get Back Into My Novel After A Break🖤
Step 1: Get back into the mindset and momentum of working on my story by gathering my tools and clearing my to-do list.

Step 2: Read back through what I have so far and make detailed scene cards. Decide what I can use and what I won’t be able to use.

Step 3: Journal about the story and my characters, making notes on how I want the story to go from here.

Step 4: Make a new plan for how long it will take to finish the draft.

Step 5: Start writing again!!!
