Jayatu Sri Aravinda - devotional song on Sri Aurobindo

'Jayatu Sri Aravinda' is our 1st bhajan offering from Project Aradhana launched on August 15th 2020, Sri Aurobindo's birthday.

Project Aradhana is a teacher's training program which will offer 10 bhajans inspired by The Mother's ‘Prayers and Meditations’ as a medium to learn the Yoga of the voice, music, breath and immerse into selected passages written by The Mother.

Project Aradhana (‘adoration’ in Sanskrit) consists of 10 inspired bhajans in Sanskritised Hindi, composed by vocalist-composer Arun Bishnu Chowdhury (Maihar Gharana), written by Devdutt Singh, accompanied by Tarun Bishnu Chowdhury on tabla. All of them who grew up under Her at Sri Aurobindo Ashram. The original album was released in 1981.

At the very bottom of the inconscience of the Earth,
He, who has illumined the densest darkness,
To that Great and Transcendent Self,
I bow down eternally, to Lord Sri Aurobindo.

Victory to Thee, Sri Aurobindo, the Lord of this Age,
Victory to Thee, O Lord of Yoga, like Moon, the Lord of the night,
He who is the last step on the path of Sadhana,
Give to our life the fulfilment of perfection,
Give us the first ray of this flame of aspiration,
May the consciousness sing on the harp of the heart,
The immortal hymns of glory, chanted by the whole world.

Welcome, O Lord ! We stand and wait for Thee,
Lighting a new lamp in our life.
May we cross over, Thy children, O Lord !
May this new chariot, in the history of the creation,
Run on the path from Man to Superman
Today the whole Nature has become Thy follower.
