The agents proceed with caution, drilling the lock to gain entry, assuming this is a standard case of an elderly tenant struggling with arrears.

However, the situation takes a shocking turn when the landlord's representative reveals the tenant's true identity. It emerges that Mr. Chadwick is actually a lettings agent who used a fake name, ""Edward Williamson,"" on the tenancy agreement to move himself into the property illegally. Exposed as a squatter rather than a legitimate tenant, he loses the usual rights to return for his belongings and is forced to leave immediately with only what he can carry, ending his fraudulent occupation of the home.
