Touching down in Uzbekistan for the first time, I had no idea how much diversity I’d experience in just 24 hours.

From driving through the heart of the capital Toshkent (Tashkent)—a city where Soviet architecture, modern development, and deep Silk Road history collide—to escaping into the mountains, this first day was packed.

We hit the road outside the city to explore:
🏔 Amirsoy Ski Resort – a modern alpine escape tucked into the Tian Shan mountains
💧 Charvak Reservoir – unreal turquoise water surrounded by rugged peaks
