[Maximization Notes]
C6 as the main go-to move for Musou filling
Main idea - C6-1 to retreat backwards, and C6-2 to scatter the crowd
Goal is to scatter crowd after filling Musou to save the Musou and avoid wasting Musous for defense
Best to enter crowds at or after his 3rd normal attack when executing C6
C6 has risky execution if executed normally, or in a the same direction as the preceding attacks, in a large range of crowd sizes
The trick is to turn around on the execution of C6. This creates more distance, enough for safe execution in C6, in a lot more crowd size scenarios
C6 not perfect, and is limited by massive crowds
If working with a full Musou or partially filled Musou, C6-1 should be used to enter the crowd to hit officers for a chance of freezing, if there is enough distance to do it safely
C1 is useful to precede C4 to make it safer, or precede a JC to make the JC recovery safer
JC is good in small crowds, and good against officers, as they tend not to block it.
Running attack has very good reach and range, and very fast recovery time - abusable for Musou filling in almost any crowd size.
Because of his running attack, he has heavy weapon compatibility
Maximization is still best with medium weight because with Heavy weight, he is limited to Musou filling with just his running attack, and his True Musou with a Musou20 bonus, is still not enough to KO a generic officer. He also has less freezing ability. The result is slower Musou filling, and weaker offense
No clear advantages that a Light weapon has over a Medium weapon
2nd normal attack has shorter reach than 1st normal attack. If positioned in a way that his 2nd misses an officer because of reach, then he may get interrupted
C4 is a good scattering attack itself, but the preceding normal attacks aren't good enough to make this charge attack useful. C4 has considerable recovery time and execution time, despite it's good reach and range.
any situation that permits a safe C4 will permit a safe C6, which always has a better outcome
C4 is only useful for one scenario - freeze attempt if attacking an officer in a large crowd with a filled Musou. Note that no other charge attack will freeze as well as C4 in this scenario
C3 ending has good recovery and very good range, but typically limited by weak strength and less useful preceding normal attacks
True Musou ending can be considered unblockable
[Tier List Notes]
Fast Musou filler
Typically a 1 Musou offense character against generic officers. Although, in small crowd sizes, if he can follow up without interference after a full True Musou, the generic officer should be several normal attacks shy of defeat
With Ice, Jiang Wei has some chances of killing generics in 1 Musou. If approaching with a partially fill Musou or a full Musou, his offense may be assumed to be a 40% 1 Musou KO offense - C6 for distanced approach, or C5 for close combat approach
If C1 is used before a crowd approaches, and if it is timed well against an officer, one full normal attack string of 5 normal attacks with the assisting fire from the C1 explosion, and a full True Musou, is enough to KO a generic
Pair this with Ice, and it is enough to KO a playable officer
However typically, Jiang Wei is strictly a 2 Musou offense vs playable officers
Fast Musou filling and Slow Musou offense places Jiang Wei in Mid-low tier
May be compared with Slow fill fast Musou offense types (ex Huang Zhong)
