Babe wanted Yaki Udon with Hakubaku Organic Japanese Udon noodles.
Ingredients
1 packet Hakubaku Organic Udon
1 carrot, cut into matchsticks
1/4 sugarloaf cabbage
4 spring onions, cut fine
200g shiitake mushrooms
4 cloves garlic
1 tbsp light soy
1 tbsp dark soy
1 tbsp mirin
1 tsp sesame oil
6 raw prawns, deshelled and sliced in half
Method
1. Start by making sure you have all your prep ready because once you start cooking it all happens very quickly. Have all your vegetables chopped, your prawns ready and your noodles blanched to the packet instructions and chilled under cold water.
2. Mix all the sauces with the crushed garlic so it's ready to go.
3. In a wok or large frying pan over high heat, start by stir frying your veggies for 3-4 minutes or until they develop some colour and are tender.
4. Next, add your raw prawns and spring onions and stir fry for 2 minutes. Then, add the Hakubaku Organic Udon noodles.
5. Add the sauce to the pan, pour it around the outside of the edge and stir fry for 3-4 minutes or until everything is the same colour.
6. Serve in a bow and enjoy!
