The Gainesville Community Choir, South Loudoun Youth Chorale, and Old Bridge Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Erik Jacobs, presented "Illuminare: Songs of Light and Life" on April 5, 2025 at the Hylton Performing Arts Center, Manassas, VA.
Founded in 2013, Gainesville Community Choir (GCC) is a non-auditioned community choir committed to enabling folks from every walk of life to experience the joy of singing with others. GCC's mission is to enrich, educate, and entertain those in the community through intentional community-building and rehearsals that develop and support musical excellence. Founded in 2022, the South Loudoun Youth Chorale (SLYC) is made up of auditioned and non-auditioned choirs from 4th-12th grade. The mission of SLYC is to empower young musicians to become leaders in their music programs through enriching musical experiences, to connect our community through inspiring performances, and engage children of all backgrounds through educational initiatives which embolden them to become independent musicians and exceptional citizens. The Old Bridge Chamber Orchestra (OBCO) is an all-volunteer ensemble established in 1998. Our vision is to inspire in the community a deeper appreciation of orchestral and small ensemble performances through a variety of musical offerings, educational outreach, and artistic collaborations. OBCO seeks to provide enjoyable musical experiences in the greater Prince William region by focusing on the quality of its artistic presence, audience experience, and a sustainable infrastructure.
