CUBIC OBLIVION - . . . listen and read slowly . . .

At first it was cold. Not piercing, not sharp, but somehow dense, viscous, as if the air itself was frozen in immobility. Then realization came. He was lying down. Where?

His eyes opened, and the world appeared before him in absolute, discouraging simplicity. Cube. Four walls, floor, ceiling – everything is immaculately smooth, merging into a single whole, as if carved from one unimaginable material. He couldn't determine its texture, couldn't figure out if it reflected light or emitted it itself. There was light. Dim, smooth, without a source, evenly washing each face.

The panic did not come immediately. It crept up slowly, first as a slight rapid heartbeat, then as a feeling of heaviness squeezing the chest. He sat down. The body felt alien, somehow too malleable, as if it consisted of soft clay. There was no pain or injury. It's just... empty.

He touched the wall. The cloth was cool, but not cold. Smooth as polished stone, but without feeling hard. His fingers seemed to penetrate her slightly, but they didn't leave a trace. He pushed harder. There was no reaction. The matter gave way, but immediately returned to its shape, without a single deformation.

"Hey!" he shouted. The voice sounded muffled, as if it had been swallowed up by a wall. There was no echo. Nothing but that oppressive silence.

He stood up. The room was small, about three meters long, wide, and high. No doors, no windows. Not a single line, not a single joint, giving at least some sign of construction. Just a clean, perfect cube.

He began to walk, feeling the walls, the floor, the ceiling. Every inch was the same. Attempts to push, to break through, to find a weak spot were shattered by the impenetrable, but at the same time malleable essence of this place. His mind, accustomed to logic and physical laws, began to resist. It couldn't be real. It was... something else.

Hours passed, or perhaps days. Time has lost all meaning here. Hunger and thirst did not come. I couldn't get tired. Only growing, all-consuming despair. He screamed, struggled, scratched, but the material remained indifferent. It was as if he existed outside the very concept of matter, beyond cause and effect.

The night did not come. The light did not fade. And there was no way out. His body, his mind, everything began to thin out, like an image on an old screen gradually losing clarity. His thoughts began to slow down, his emotions began to fade. All that remained was a sense of presence. Presence in this cube.

He didn't try to get out anymore. He just... was. A reflection in invisible walls that will never see itself. A sound that will never be heard. A particle of consciousness trapped in an eternal, absolute void, surrounded by matter that did not exist anywhere but this cubic prison.

He's staying here. Forever. There will be no death, no liberation. Only endless, silent cubic oblivion, where every breath is the last echo of a fading life, never leaving the confines of his hopeless world.
