Funiculaire Cossonay - Penthalaz 🇨🇭 | Standseilbahn 🇨🇭| Funicular 🇨🇭

[FR] Dès 1855 Le petit village (à l'époque) de Penthalaz situé au fond du vallon de la Venoge à été raccordé au chemin de fer, alors que le chef-lieu de la région la ville de Cossonay située juste en dessus ne restait accessible qu'à pied ou à l'aide du cheval. Après de longues démarches 'un funiculaire est mis en service en 1897 entre les deux localités. Dès lors la gare de Penthalaz devient faussement appelée "Cossonay gare". Le Village de Penthalaz ne récupérera son nom de gare associé à celui de Cossonay que en 2014 suite à un redécoupage des limites de district dans cette région.
Construit sur le principe d'un funiculaire à contre-poids d'eau avec frein crémaillère, l'électrification n'interviendra que en 1982. Dès lors l'explosion du nombre de voyageurs transportés à nécessité par deux fois le remplacement des cabines. La configuration actuelle date de 2020.

[FR] Ab 1855 war das (damals) kleine Dorf Penthalaz am Fuße des Venoge-Tals an die Eisenbahn angeschlossen, während die Hauptstadt der Region, die etwas oberhalb gelegene Stadt Cossonay, nicht nur über die Eisenbahn erreichbar blieb zu Fuß oder mit dem Pferd. Nach langen Verfahren wurde 1897 eine Standseilbahn zwischen den beiden Orten in Betrieb genommen. Von da an wurde der Bahnhof Penthalaz fälschlicherweise „Bahnhof Cossonay“ genannt. Das Dorf Penthalaz erhält seinen mit Cossonay verbundenen Stationsnamen erst 2014 zurück, nachdem die Bezirksgrenzen in dieser Region neu verteilt wurden.
Gebaut nach dem Prinzip einer Standseilbahn mit Gegengewicht aus Wasser und Zahnstangenbremse, erfolgte die Elektrifizierung erst 1982. Von da an machte die explosionsartige Zunahme der beförderten Passagierzahlen einen zweimaligen Austausch der Kabinen erforderlich. Die aktuelle Konfiguration stammt aus dem Jahr 2020.
