Philodendron selloum also known as Philodendron bipinnatifidum is one of the largest of all the species, sometomes called the tree Philodendron it can be grown outdoors or indoors.
Recently renamed as Thaumatophyllum bipinnatifidum all three names are used, however it is the same plant.
Outdoors it will grow in a temperate climate zone through to tropical.
It can be propagated from cuttings and requires a shaded warm frost free position to thrive.
It is one of the best foliage plants, easy care and eye-catching.
Indoors look for the smaller growing cultivars such as Philodendron 'Hope', and this is also easy to grow.
