Local pilot Marco Bouw makes flies just his second air show at the 2025 New Bern Titan Air Show. Shot on Saturday, November 29.
Marco Bouw is a local resident in New Bern, NC, who just began performing aerobatics in 2025. He flies a Sukhoi SU-31, a Russian aerobatic aircraft. One of Marco's mentors is Hubie Tolson, another New Bern native who flew aerobatics in his Sukhoi SU-31 until he retired in 2024. Marco performs a lot of the same maneuvers that Hubie did, including the Cobra, the flat spin, and the inverted deadstick pass where he deliberately turns the engine off for one pass. Additionally, he also performs two inside tumbles, something I've only seen Rob Holland do prior. He is the perfect successor to Hubie Tolson. At a time where several air show veterans have left the air show circuit, either due to retirement or a tragic loss, the circuit is in need of fresh talent. In my opinion, Marco has placed himself in the best possible position to become one of those new talented air show pilots. Please share this video and help him get discovered!
