The fighting type is notorious for having many strong attackers that require very little energy to start applying pressure. Going as far back as Base Set, there have been many powerful cards, some of them even in a supporting role. The identity of the fighting type has always been to strike hard, strike fast and do it without any real gimmicks or secondary effects.
