Bold shapes. Wood grain. Black paint. This thrifted Flexsteel chest had a failing finish, a plastic laminate top, and not much going for it… until I got inspired by the incredibly talented @brasswalnut to try something I’ve never done before—an eye-catching geometric design that still lets the wood shine through.

In this video, I walk you through the entire transformation—from cleaning, sanding, and priming, to spraying, taping, painting, and protecting.
