Trail Mode Ep.10 — We Got Caught in a STORM on Tent Ridge! 🌧️💨 | Kananaskis Adventure
Sometimes, the mountains remind you who’s in charge — and on this hike, they really did. What started as a calm day in Kananaskis quickly turned wild as heavy winds, rain, and a sudden mountain storm hit us right on the ridge. Just as we climbed above the treeline, clouds rolled in, rain started falling sideways, and visibility dropped to almost nothing. But that only made the experience more epic.
Tent Ridge Horseshoe is one of the most scenic ridge walks in Kananaskis Country — a full alpine loop offering 360° views of Spray Lakes and surrounding peaks. It combines everything: steep forest climbs, rocky scrambles, narrow ridge sections, and moments that truly test your limits. On this day, we faced all of it — from calm meadows to the raw force of a storm high above the valley.
Despite the harsh weather, the trail delivered unforgettable views whenever the clouds briefly opened. Every gust of wind, every soaked step made reaching the summit even more rewarding — a real reminder that adventure doesn’t always wait for perfect conditions.
🎬 Shot entirely in Alberta, Canada.
