Union Commerce & Industry Minister Piyush Goyal highlighted the significance of the agreement at the Bharat Mandapam during the India-EFTA Prosperity Summit. This milestone follows successful trade pacts with Australia and the UAE, and precedes the anticipated UK agreement. TEPA aims to expand market access for Indian exporters, industries, and service providers, create millions of jobs, and strengthen intellectual property protections, marking a historic step in India-Europe trade relations.
